Thanks for the heads up. It looks like they have stopped making their narrower options, so everything in the barefoot section should be good to go!

Also, I could not find a tab for wide barefoot like I have seen you mention in a few articles. Maybe they don’t offer that anymore?

They aren’t quite wide enough to be a good fit on her. She can squeeze into them, but they feel tight on her. The Ohne Kima Ballerina is a better style for her extra wide, high volume foot type.

My feet are size 36-37, so the Ilos wouldn’t be an option for me.
Thanks!

Not sure if anyone else has experience with that, I love the shoe otherwise. I did buy two sizes, and thought the larger size fit me best, but maybe I should try the smaller size and see how that goes. I’ve bought the back of the heel pads, am wearing socks, etc… still cutting my skin 🙁

I do have experience with their Chelsea boots! They are not as wide as the Ila, and fit more average width. Volume wise, they are in the middle. I have low volume feet and can wear them pretty comfortably. I always keep tongue pads on hand for my chelsea boots, just in case.

I JUST had a meeting with them to get to know their brand. I’ll be testing out some soon!

I have some Coqueflex shoes and they are really enjoyable. They are made in Spain and I believe they are even handmade. Started out as a brand that creates shoes for kids so kids feet would stay as natural as possible, they also have an adult line. Worth looking into.

I really like their sneakers, but my feet are pretty low volume. I’m worried about my feet sliding around without laces.

Also, thanks for reviewing Koel! This blog was how I got on to them and they’re also my favorite shoe of all time!

Hi Erika, for non-slip shoes for nurses, check out these options. I’d also recommend this list of beginner options, which have more cushion.

Hi Angela, you can find options like that on this list. I would specifically look at Icarus.

Thanks Anya! Do you have recommendations for casual sneakers that have a wide toe box, are somewhat flexible, but are not zero drop? Ideally I’m looking for a drop of 4mm

They are so well made and the comfort is off the charts, I think. They are washable, too! They have also widened the toe box on the trainers. I literally have 10 pairs myself and have turned multiple people on to them!

Hi, Mia – Have you looked at Feelgrounds? They have Ked like shoes. They aren’t canvas, but still fabric. I love my pink mesh ones! (I like the mesh ones better than original knit ones. I have both. )
