We do try and mention if a shoe has a "tall toe box" or "ample space obove the toes", but if you're ever curious if a certain model does, you can ask us! For dress shoes myself, I have had good luck with Shapen, Groundies Barefoot+, FeelBarefoot, and Anya's loafers. The Origo Huaraches by Anya are also good since the leather is woven and stretchy.

One problem I have with any new shoe brand is that the toenails on my big toes don’t grow straight forward, rather, they angle UP at a 30 degree angle, so shoes with a small “toebox” (whatever you call it) ram my toenail into my foot. (The up side is I’ll never have ingrown toenails 😉 ) Case in point, I tried grounding shoes once, and 783 brand shoes are great, but for me are downright painful, even after sizing up and having the leather stretched twice. I gave the shoes away. Lems fit me perfectly. But they’re rarely adorable.

In your listing for adorable-ness, can you somehow also include this info as well? It’s nearly impossible to tell from a photo what will fit my toes and what won’t.

Hi Anya! Thank you for these great recommendations. I know they’re not strictly “barefoot”, but do you have any options for a low heel dress shoe or boot that is also wide in the toes? I rarely wear heels cause my toes pinch, but as a shortie, sometimes a little extra height is nice. Thank you!
