The EU to US conversion can vary between brands, but typically an EU 37 is equivalent to a US women’s 6.5-7.

Is a size 37 a US women’s 7?

If it doesn’t get too cold where you live, but you would of course want to add a boot liner and a really warm insole. You can see our top picks for the warmest barefoot boots here.

The best pair of winter boots I ever had was a pair of rubber boots that were rated -45 degrees F. They were so warm, slipped on without making me bend over, and went 3/4 up my calf so I could trudge through at least one foot of snow. Wish I had them again. If these wouldn’t make good snow boots, do you have anything similar to what I described? Thank you Anya!

I am inquiring about the lugs, whether they are hollow or not. I have had boots with hollow lugs wear down and I didn’t have to throw the whole boot out, but now that you bring it up I am curious. I haven’t yet had issues with things getting stuck in the tread – the front part has more spaced out lugs that don’t collect stuff to easily. But the back part I could see getting tiny rocks stuck in there. Maybe you’d like the Saguaro Brisk better for your needs? After my 15% off code ANYASREVIEWS they are pretty reasonably priced and the tread pattern won’t get stuff stuck in it.

One can always hose the tops/sides off after walking but getting the stuff out of their treads can require more digging as the pebbles get wedged Between them, twigs get jammed in with mud… Also, are those “treads” solid or hollow? If those treads get punctured or worn down unevenly, there goes to whole boot? Is there a durability guarantee with these? They seem quite expensive for what they are….

They are so barefoot and I like the drawstring to keep rain out from the top. So soft and packable.

Yes I have the Rana, both for me and for Justin! I like them well enough, it’s nice having the top of the foot elastic. But they are on the slimmer side for what I prefer in a functional boot like that. I would love to combine that idea with the foot shape on the Ranidae…

We just noticed that the code is temporarily not working on the international site – I’ve contacted them to get it updated so it works again! I do know what the new colors will be, but can’t say. 🙂

Have you ever tried the Koel Rana? I love that they’re leather and wool but I’ve never bought them and now it seems they’re not restocking Women’s sizes. This looks like a great option, thanks for the update!

Personally I would not wear pull-on rubber boots for long hikes – they just don’t have security I want for that. I really like my Lems Boulder Grip boots for wet hiking! You can see my top recommended hiking boots here – most of the brands reviewed have a waterproof option.

If not, are there other waterproof boots/shoes that would work well for that? Thanks for all the great info!!
