I am curious if you have tried nallu’s. I bought them because of their ‘wing’ idea which locks in my feet really well. Curious if you experience the same or that the more ‘conventional’ sandals also lock in.

Have you heard anything about Good Earth Sandals recently? The website has been down for many months and used to promise to reopen. Now it just looks like a dead page from Shopify.
I’ve been on the mailing list since last year and have not gotten one single message. Also, it looks like their physical store in Hawaii may have closed or moved?
Just wondering if you have any info or a contact?

Kinda thought I would see some mention of the Teva sandals, which the new Lem’s reminded me of. I’ve not worn Tevas, btw, but have loved the Lems that I’ve worn pretty consistently for years now—just not the new sandals, which I’m curious about.

In Brazil “Ipanema” can offer some varieties not marketed as barefoot, but technically with zero drop, flexible outsoles and ankle straps. Not ad tho, couldn’t find sandals myself for a long time, we can’t buy from abroad lol

Thank you for trying so many different sandals, I use the Luna Sandals Origen Retro and love them for everything, even cold weather. I only switch footwear when it’s cold AND wet. For running, in cold and wet, I’ll add toe socks only if my feet are gonna stay wet.
The other sandals look great and I’ve heard great things about Bedrock and Paisley for specific situations.

Xero D and Z Trail are the squishiest. And you may like the sole on the Lems sandals, which is also on the softer side. Otherwise they all have that firm feel to them. I wonder though, have you tried Shamma’s leather topped sandals? You mentioned the Trailstar – I have the Maximus Tan Sahara and that couple millimeters of soft leather makes a difference! But I’m going to guess that you’ll like the sole thickness and softness of the Xero D and Z Trail best.

In reply to Bronwen. What kind of sandal design are you looking for? You might find some alternative strapping styles that would work for you in this sandal article. EG the Origo Huarache sandals - they cover the bunion but don't put pressure on it.

Hi Anya! I read your blog since years now and I thank you. I bought Shamma’s Mountain goats leather and they are a must have. But I don’t wear very much my Trailstar : cord burn my toe after 2 hours walking. I don’t know why but I want to sell them. But I can’t advise this trade in France because of shipping and customs taxes. Last summer I was in Toronto (see my brother) and I’ve tried Earth Runners and I can’t : the cord inside my foot hurts me straight away ! So I bought Bedrock cairn : very comfortable straight away! I’m waiting summer to wear them.

Could you add a comment on the softness of the sole for each of these? I see you added it for the Xeros. I have the Shamma trailstars, alpha I believe, and the sole is so hard that I really don’t wear them. It’s plenty thick, maybe too thick for my taste even, but the material is just firm.
I literally wear NorthSole insoles with all of my shoes except Lems in which I use their insoles but I can’t do that with sandals.
