Hi Nura, the Peerko Trim is softer than Ruby and also higher volume so you should have no trouble adding an additional insole.

The catch is that my feet are actually mid to low volume, so I often slip around in these types of shoes. The only barefoot slip-ons that have given me that perfect balance of roomy toe space height and overall flexibility without falling off my foot are the Xero Pagosas and the Freet Talus shoes. I once tried the Vivobarefoot Opankas and found them to be far too rigid and constricting, especially in the toe area.

Which of the shoes (if any) do you think would fit my needs best? If neither, do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

In the past few months (since I last updated this article) there actually have been a few new vegan models launched! The Feelgrounds Loafer is a good one, and then a couple others that I haven’t yet tried are the Ohne Luma, and Be Flamboyant.

Hey Nicole! So far, the Be Lenka Buena is my favorite loafer. The fit my volume exactly, but if you have *very* high volume feet you might need to remove the insole. I did not have luck with the Shapen Sheen. I think it comes up too far on the foot for me to be able to get my foot in, but I love MANY of their other shoes! You will likely find Lisbeth Joe too narrow along with Ruby workshop.

I think they should! They have a higher volume fit than most Vivos for sure.
