I personally wouldn’t worry too much about socks at night, especially when it’s cold, since that’s not a time when they are using their feet to get sensory feedback.

We also avoid shoes when it’s cold outside by using some really warm socks (our child is 12 months). What do you do for cold days?

We were surprised at how flexible the Retro sneakers were and when we inquired with Ten Little, they actually let us know that all their current models now feature the same outsole as the Retro sneaker with a lower profile. This new design allows for more flexibility in the sole since the edges do come up as high. We really like them!

Unfortunately their shoes do not look like they are barefoot friendly anymore.

Samantha’s son has very chubby thick feet and they worked excellently for him at about that age.

Zutano booties have grippy bottoms in 12+ month sizes. They work great as little indoor booties.
